Scientific activities of Faculty of fundamental sciences are focused on topics which are highly relevant for industry and society:
- Mathematical models and methods of physical, technological and economic processes.
- Modeling of biocatalytic processes.
- Materials and technologies of energy sources.
- Artificial intelligence and decision making systems.
- Security of information and information technologies
- Information technologies, ontological and telematics systems.
- Technologies for environmental protection.
Researchers and lecturers of the faculty actively performs research activities in cooperation with other Lithuanian and foreign research institutions, business and industry representatives as well as public organizations. Motivated students are encouraged to perform research activities at beginning of the first year of their studies.
