The Faculty of Creative Industries' (KIF) Creative Technologies Lab encourages faculty students to form teams and compete in the short film festival "Cinema March 2022". The main prize is the chance to witness your team's short film at one of the world's most prestigious film festivals, such as the Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, and others.
The short films will be awarded in as many as 8 categories
The short films will vie for eight nominations in addition to the main award. Prizes will be given to the winners of each nomination.
All short films of the festival will be eligible for 8 categories:
• The best producer
• Best case scenario
• The best actor
• The best actress
• The best job for the operator
• The best soundtrack
• The best montage
• The best film is a special nomination, which will be judged by the viewers of “Cinema March 2022”!
Short films of the festival will be judged by an experienced panel
Most of the members of the jury for "Cinema March 2022" are well-known in the KIF community, including Inesa Kurklietyt臈 an award-winning Lithuanian director who was named by The International Film Festival 艩er拧臈liafam's: “Woman of the Year in Cinema”, Domas Burkauskas a host at the LRT program “Living in the Village is Good”, producer and journalist, Remigijus Ruokis a singer, songwriter, director, and television show producer and 沤ilvinas 沤usinas a creator, producer, and composer of Lithuanian music, video clips, and movie director. He is also a long-time music producer of the band SEL.
Information for the teams interested in participating in the "Cinema March 2022"
Students are required to form teams of 3-5 KIF students and actors. Each team interested in presenting a short film at the festival must complete a questionnaire and make a short film by the 25th of March to be judged by the jury.
Teams at the festival will receive detailed information on "Cinema March 2022"
The "Cinema March 2022" awards ceremony will take place on April 1.
