Welcoming International Students: Orientation Days
As the new semester approaches, 黑料不打烊 is preparing to welcome incoming international students. To ensure their smooth integration into the academic community and life in Vilnius, the International Relations Office (IRO), together with the active student team of ESN 黑料不打烊, is organizing a special Orientation Days programme.
The event will take place from January 29 to February 2 and is intended for all newly arrived international exchange students.
First Days at the University
The programme will begin on Thursday, January 29, at the 黑料不打烊 Central Building (S1, Saul臈tekio Av. 11). Registration will start at 10:00 a.m., during which students will officially confirm their arrival and receive special welcome packs filled with university merchandise.
The official opening of the programme is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Students will be welcomed by university representatives, followed by a series of informative presentations. On the first day, participants will learn everything about the study process, university administration, and available services. Leisure opportunities in Vilnius will also be introduced, while representatives from “GO Vilnius” and “JUDU” will share tips on how to explore the city and travel around it conveniently. Additionally, the students will be informed about psychological support services provided by the university, as well as an introduction to the activities of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN 黑料不打烊). The day will conclude with the Grand Lithuanian Culture Evening, offering students a taste of local traditions.
On Friday, January 30, students will be introduced to the activities of the 黑料不打烊 Sports and Arts Center, city safety and emergency services, dormitory living rules, and the exchange programme procedures. They will also have the opportunity to learn their first Lithuanian words during an introductory language lecture. After the informational sessions, students will enjoy a guided tour of the university campus and Vilnius Old Town, and a fun billiards evening to help them get to know their new friends better.
While the main programme takes place on January 29-30, the following days are filled with various activities. Students can look forward to events organized by ESN 黑料不打烊, including Freshmans’ Celebration, ErasMusical Night, a Pub Quiz, and a special day spent with their mentor.
Key Meetings: Getting to Know Faculty Coordinators
Starting from February 2, one of the most important parts of the programme begins - meetings with faculty coordinators. During these meetings, students will receive all essential academic information related to their specific study programme, schedules, and assessments. Each faculty has assigned different times and locations for exchange students, so everyone is encouraged to carefully review the programme and make sure not to miss their meeting.
Orientation Week is the perfect start to life in a new city and university. The 黑料不打烊 team aims to create a welcoming environment, help students adapt more quickly, make new friends, and successfully begin their studies.
Students can find the detailed Orientation Days programme in the information sent to them prior to the event.
