After submitting the visa application, students must schedule an appointment at one of the following institutions:
-
an authorized visa application centre, or
-
the Embassy of Lithuania, or
-
the Lithuanian Migration Department (if legally residing in Lithuania).
Students must attend the appointment in person to provide biometric data, submit original documents, and address any visa-related matters.
鉂 Early appointment booking is strongly recommended, as visa processing times may be longer than expected.
All international students are obliged to bring medical insurance valid in Lithuania for the whole study period.
Health insurance must guarantee:
- Reimbursement of emergency medical expenses;
- Repatriation in case of illness or accident.
The sum insured must be at least EUR 30,000.
Citizens of EU/EEA countries and Switzerland may enter Lithuania without a visa.

Students coming from the EU/EEA countries are required to have European health insurance card (EHIC) or form E111, confirming that student has EU health insurance.
鉂 We strongly recommend also having additional private health insurance, as EHIC does not cover all costs (e.g., repatriation, private clinics).
