The relevance of the research stems from the increasing application of such heat pumps in the context of energy sustainability, especially during the cold season, when low temperatures and high absolute outdoor air humidity can cause frost to form on the evaporator heat exchanger, reducing the efficiency of the air鈥搒ource heat pump. The main objective of the work is to investigate the operation of an air heat pump during the cold season and to develop a dynamic model integrating an evaporator defrost evaluation methodology to determine the impact of freezing on the heat pump鈥檚 seasonal efficiency. The following tasks are addressed in the dissertation: to evaluate frost assessment and mitigation measures, to perform experimental investigations under different environmental conditions, to develop an operational evaluation methodology and a dynamic air鈥搒ource heat pump model in the environment of the transient (time鈥搗arying) process systems modelling tool (Transient System Simulation Tool) 鈥� TRNSYS. Thermodynamic, parametric, and system analysis methods are applied, combined with experimental investigations and dynamic modelling. The dissertation consists of an introduction, three chapters, general conclusions, references, and a list of the author鈥檚 scientific publications on the topic of the dissertation. The First Chapter presents a literature review on the operation of the air鈥搒ource heat pumps and the problem of evaporator freezing. The Second Chapter describes the methodology of experimental investigations, the test bench, and the methodological basis for the development and logic of the dynamic model. The Third Chapter analyses the data of the experimental investigations. It presents the results of the developed dynamic model in the TRNSYS environment, including model validation and application of the model under different climatic conditions. The scientific novelty of the dissertation is based on experimental investigation of frost formation under real conditions, development of a frost assessment methodology and its integration into a dynamic TRNSYS model, enabling prediction of air鈥搒ource heat pump performance under different climates or different operating modes of the heat pump itself. The practical significance lies in the possibility of applying the model to system design and performance prediction even with insufficient manufacturer data. The topic of the dissertation has been published in nine scientific publications, of which two are in journals indexed in the Web of Science database, and the research results have been presented at four scientific conferences, three of which were held in Lithuania and one abroad. Because the conical-shaped closure element (2) of the safety valve is integrally connected to the rod (7), which has a threaded upper part where a sleeve (6) made of rubber or elastomeric material is mounted (the sleeve (6) is constructed from a vibration-reducing material resistant to hydraulic fluid), vibrations occurring in the safety valve due to various external factors are significantly reduced. The shock absorber is designed for use in various micromobility vehicles, particularly electric scooters, with the possibility of installation in both the front and rear suspension of the electric scooter, in horizontal and vertical positions. The two-stage cleaning device consists of two stages: in the first stage, electrochemical degradation is carried out using composite electrodes, and in the second stage, an adsorption method is applied with an adsorbent as a filter filler. In the first stage of the wastewater treatment plant (1), boron doped diamond (BDD), mixed metal oxide (MMO), graphite, aluminum, iron or titanium electrodes are immersed in an aqueous dye solution (3) while maintaining a distance of no more than 0.3 - 1.0 cm between the electrodes (2) and held for 60 min. The dissertation examines the impact of bicycle infrastructure solutions on subjective traffic safety and the possibilities of applying bicycle traffic flow forecasting methodologies on city streets. The main objects of the research are the impact of bicycle infrastructure solutions on the subjective sense of safety and the application of bicycle traffic flow forecasting methodologies on city streets. The dissertation aims to determine the accuracy of the aggregated behaviour model and sketch plan method in predicting bicycle traffic flows on city streets, using freely available data, and to determine the impact of different bicycle infrastructure solutions on predicted bicycle traffic flows in terms of subjective safety. The work addresses several main tasks: quantitatively assesses the impact of subjective safety on predicted bicycle traffic flows, and performs bicycle traffic flow forecasting using the aggregated behaviour model and the sketch plan method using freely available data. The dissertation consists of an introduction, three main chapters, general conclusions, lists of references and the author鈥檚 publications on the dissertation topic, and three appendices. The Introduction discusses the research problem and its relevance, defines the research object, outlines the dissertation鈥檚 aim and objectives, describes the research methodology, presents the scientific novelty and practical significance of the results, and introduces the defended statements.
