This master's thesis investigates the challenges of adapting virtual environments for robot simulation and deep reinforcement learning. The key requirements that reinforcement learning methods impose on simulation infrastructure are analyzed, along with an overview of physics simulation mechanisms and robot description formats. Existing virtual environments are examined, their limitations are identified, and the most suitable technology choices for building an extension system are justified. Based on the analysis, a virtual environment extension system is designed and implemented to expand robot simulation capabilities. The main architectural decisions and key implementation mechanisms are described. The suitability of the developed system is evaluated through functional testing and performance assessment. The thesis concludes with findings and suggestions for further development. The thesis consists of 7 chapters: introduction, literature analysis, system design, realization, testing, conclusions and suggestions, and list of references. The aim of this master鈥檚 thesis is to investigate and formulate a methodology for transferring Building Information Models into Virtual Reality systems, defining the rational data scope and level of detail required to ensure smooth system operation. The thesis includes an analysis of scientific literature, evaluating model detailing concepts and geometric representation types. In the practical part, an empirical study was conducted. During this study, the performance of models with varying levels of detail and different engineering disciplines was measured using three technological platforms: a game engine, a specialized commercial application, and a web browser-based solution. The research results revealed that VR performance is primarily limited by the geometry of building engineering systems. The study identified critical geometric load breaking points and established the maximum limits for rendered triangles and draw calls necessary to ensure smooth system performance. Based on these limitations, practical recommendations were formulated for normative BIM documents: the Employer's Information Requirements and the BIM Execution Plan. The applied value of the thesis is demonstrated through the practical implementation of the optimized transfer model, creating an interactive training simulation for building systems operation and maintenance in a virtual environment. The thesis consists of: introduction, theoretical analysis, research on the transfer of rational BIM scope to VR systems, analysis of the practical applicability of BIM and VR integration, conclusions, and a list of references. BIM Revit automatizavimas v臈dinimo sistemos ortaki懦 armat奴ra pyRevit Python IFC.

This thesis investigates the improvement of efficiency in duct accessories design by automating repetitive tasks within the Revit platform. Current standard design methods are slow, inefficient, and prone to human error: when designing rectangular duct systems, the number of possible accessories dimension variants reaches 264, and the manual selection of each element demands disproportionate time and attention. The aim of the work is to develop automated plugins that enable engineers to design ventilation systems more effectively. Four specialised plugins were created and integrated via the pyRevit platform. The Automatic Damper plugin automatically reads duct geometry and inserts accessory of precise dimensions. The Noise Silencer plugin dynamically generates a parametric family for non-standard silencer dimensions and integrates it into the network. The Ventilation Schedule plugin automates documentation by exporting fragmented BIM model data directly into formatted Excel and Word documents. The IFC to RVT plugin, combining Blender with the Bonsai add-on and pyRevit, converts non-editable IFC models into fully editable Revit duct elements. Comparative analysis demonstrated that the Automatic Accessory plugin saves 42% of time and increases productivity by 73%; the Noise Silencer plugin by 63% and 169% respectively; schedule generation by 85% and 567%; and duct redrafting from IFC is 36 times faster. The results confirm that automation substantially reduces the volume of repetitive manual work, eliminates the risk of human error, and improves the overall quality of the ventilation system design process. The work consists of 3 parts: introduction, theoretical part, practical part, analysis part, conclusions and recommendations, list of references. This thesis investigates the parametrization of a 3D drone wing model and the application of dimensional correction methods in the context of selective laser sintering (SLS) additive manufacturing. The primary objective of the study is to develop a geometrically configurable model capable of compensating for dimensional deviations that typically arise between the CAD design and the physical object due to thermal distortions and process-specific factors. A literature review was conducted, highlighting the importance of correction strategies in additive manufacturing, and a parametric model was created with integrated scaling compensation mechanisms. A "Python" based graphical user interface was developed to enable automated input of key model parameters and synchronization with the "SolidWorks" environment via COM interface. The experimental part included the fabrication of multiple model variants with differing geometries. Dimensional accuracy was evaluated using digital calipers, optical 3D scanning, and "SolidWorks" based comparison tools. Following the application of a correction factor, a significant reduction in dimensional deviations was observed. The findings confirm that the implemented compensation methodology effectively improves conformity between the digital and physical models and may be applied more broadly in the design of parametric components where precision is critical. The developed methodology and tools also demonstrate high applicability in practical engineering workflows and educational settings.

The master's thesis presents an analysis of computer-aided design (CAD) platforms, assessing their role and applicability in the contemporary context of engineering design based on theoretical analysis and practical research. The first chapter defines the functions of CAD platforms, their technological evolution, and significance in engineering, alongside an overview of the main commercial CAD development companies and their areas of specialization. In the second chapter, specific evaluation criteria for CAD platforms are identified, providing a basis for comparative analysis. The third chapter includes a practical case study, comprehensively comparing two CAD platforms: SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor. The comparison evaluated modeling capabilities, assembly functionality, visualization quality, and effectiveness of finite element analysis. An expert survey using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology determined the weighting of the evaluation criteria. The findings indicate that while both CAD platforms effectively meet basic design tasks, SolidWorks demonstrates a clear advantage in more complex design scenarios, particularly in the area of user interface ergonomics. These results provide valuable insights for engineering firms and professionals in making informed decisions regarding CAD software selection.

This master's thesis analyzes flat roof renovation scenarios using digital design and analysis solutions. The study examines three renovation alternatives: a green roof, a pitched roof with solar panels, and a mixed roof combining both elements. The theoretical part discusses the application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) methods in renovation and reviews relevant research and applicable analytical methodologies. In the practical part, structural models were developed and evaluated using Autodesk Revit and Robot Structural Analysis software, with load analysis conducted in accordance with Eurocode standards. Additionally, a Life Cycle Cost (LCC) assessment and a multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) were performed to compare the alternatives based on structural, economic, and operational efficiency criteria. The thesis concludes with digital twin implementation guidelines and a support strategy, highlighting the long-term value of digital solutions in building management. The thesis consists of six parts: introduction, literature review, practical part, conceptual application of digital twins, conclusions, and references. The thesis comprises 61 pages of text without appendices, 31 figures, 9 tables, and 42 bibliographical references.

This paper examines the concept of digital twins and its application in the field of engineering design, emphasizing the application of parametric three-dimensional modeling methods. Digital twins allow the creation of virtual game equivalents that help to accurately plan, analyze and optimize solutions during the design process. The object of the study was chosen as the handbrake and gear lever models, which are relevant in the design of simulator systems. An analysis of existing designs shows that most current solutions are oriented towards ensuring ergonomics, but lack versatility and adaptability to different user needs. With the help of a parametric model, these components can be quickly and accurately adjusted by changing geometric parameters without changing the entire structure. The paper also analyzes the obstacles to the application of a parametric model and identifies the development prospects of this technology. Based on the analysis and modeling results, an overview is provided of how digital twins can be related to the engineering process in order to increase design efficiency, flexibility and product adaptability.

This master鈥檚 thesis examines the automation of water supply and pressure sewer manhole design. The theoretical part provides an overview of graphical representation methods used in engineering design, the application of CAD software (鈥濧耻迟辞颁础顿鈥, 鈥濩ivil 3D鈥, 鈥濻ewerGEMS鈥, 鈥濿aterCAD鈥, etc.), and discusses automation principles as well as their integration possibilities within the design environment. The programming languages 鈥濧utoLISP" and VBA are analyzed, and their applicability for design automation is evaluated. The structure of water supply and sewer manholes, their typical components, and geometric parameters are also examined. In the practical part, a software tool for automated manhole design in the 鈥濧耻迟辞颁础顿鈥 environment is developed. Data structure modeling is implemented, a user interface is created, and algorithms are integrated for selecting components and generating drawings based on predefined database parameters. The system's functionality allows users to conveniently configure manholes and automatically generate corresponding technical drawings. A comprehensive performance analysis of the developed system was conducted: drawing speed was measured, manual and automated methods were compared, and the accuracy, number of errors, and visual clarity of the drawings were evaluated. The study included projects of varying complexity鈥攆rom a single manhole to sets of ten鈥攊n order to objectively assess the effectiveness of automation under different design scenarios. The conclusions summarize the key findings of the conducted study. The thesis consists of seven main parts: introduction, theoretical section, analysis, practical part, research, conclusions, and references. The total volume of the thesis is 81 pages (excluding appendices), with 34 illustrations, 23 tables, and 42 bibliographic sources.

The aim of the final thesis is to conduct a study and analysis of VISSIM and AIMSUN microscopic traffic modelling software by assessing the main strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of each software in the development of a programmable pedestrian priority visualization (model) of the Gediminas Ave. intersection network. To achieve the objective, the usefulness, opportunities, and problems of integrating pedestrians into microscopic traffic modelling were analyzed, the main arguments for the necessity of pedestrian traffic modelling were described. The interaction of BIM technologies with microscopic modelling was analyzed. Two main approaches were proposed for the testing of the VISSIM and AIMSUN traffic modelling tools. The first approach was to study the processes of simulation model building and simulation of the Gediminas Av. intersection network in the above-mentioned software, and the second approach was to make SWOT analysis of the programs by using the results of the previously conducted studies. The study investigated pedestrian traffic groups in the development of the simulation model of the Gediminas Av. intersection network in SITRAFFIC OFFICE 4.6, VISSIM and AIMSUN, considering the pedestrian interaction with transport, traffic light applications and intersection infrastructure. A SWOT analysis of the investigated software was carried out. Summarizing the theoretical and practical aspects of the work, the conclusions of the thesis are presented. Human behavior and choices directly affect energy consumption, as daily decisions shape the overall energy demand, which impacts climate change. To reduce the negative impact, efficient energy use is encouraged. The goal of this thesis is to enable users to use energy sustainably by expanding the functionality of an existing behavior-changing mobile application. The analytical part included an analysis of enabling functions, identifying the most impactful solutions. These solutions were compared with the existing "Mano CO2" application. Feedback and goal-setting functionalities for the user were selected, and a concept for prototype development was created. The prototype development section describes the project's infrastructure, energy consumption reports, and the practical implementation of goal-setting functionalities. External artificial intelligence and machine learning models were used to fulfill the functionalities. The result of the work is the creation of prototypes for two additional functionalities for the "Mano CO2" application, with recommendations for further application development. The work consists of 63 pages, 24 illustrations, 5 tables, and 75 references. The project code is provided separately.
