The thesis analyses the opportunities for applying intermodal and multimodal solutions in the oil supply chain of UAB 鈥淪CT Lubricants鈥, considering geopolitical changes and international sanctions that have altered petroleum product supply routes in Lithuania. The existing supply chain is highly dependent on maritime logistics infrastructure, making it vulnerable to documentation delays and geopolitical tensions. The aim of the study is to evaluate the use of transportation technologies in the company's oil supply chain. The objectives are: 1. To examine the theoretical methods for optimizing petroleum product supply chains. 2. To analyze the transportation processes of UAB 鈥淪CT Lubricants鈥 supply chain. 3. To propose solutions for UAB 鈥淪CT Lubricants鈥 transportation processes based on supply chain efficiency criteria. The study applied scientific literature and document analysis, route calculation, PESTEL and SWOT analyses, and a multi-criteria evaluation system based on the index method. The results showed that the most efficient routes are via the Suez Canal (E = 1.543), around Africa (E = 1.264), and via Jeddah (E = 1.082). A flexible multimodal strategy is recommended: the Suez Canal route as the primary option, the Jeddah route as the first alternative in case of geopolitical disruptions, and the route around Africa as a reserve option. This would reduce dependence on a single route and ensure supply chain stability.

The higher education college studies final thesis consists of 48 pages, 11 figures, 13 tables, 30 references, and 3 appendixes. The final thesis analyzes bulk cargo spillage in the activities of UAB 鈥淰akar懦 krova鈥. The research problem is bulk cargo spillage occurring during cargo handling, transportation and loading onto ships, which causes cargo losses, increases the need for cleaning, dust dispersion and reduces the efficiency of the cargo handling process. The research object is bulk cargo spillage occurring in one port cargo handling company. The aim of the research is to analyze the formation of bulk cargo spillage in the activities of UAB 鈥淰akar懦 krova鈥, by preparing possible solutions for reducing spillage. To achieve the aim, the following objectives were set: to describe bulk cargo spillage from a theoretical perspective; to analyze the bulk cargo handling and internal logistics process of UAB 鈥淰akar懦 krova鈥, identifying the main spillage locations; and to prepare process improvement solutions, considering the identified factors causing spillage. The methods used in the thesis include analysis of literature sources, statistical data and observation of the cargo handling process. It was found that the main spillage locations are conveyor transfer points, areas under conveyor belts and cargo loading onto ships. When evaluating possible solutions, technical and organizational measures were selected: wetting technologies, additional side collection belts, appropriate selection of cargo handling equipment and planning of cargo handling time according to weather conditions. The calculations showed that the additional collection belt system would reduce cargo losses, decrease the need for manual cleaning and collect about 26 t of spilled cargo over 5 years, with a value of approximately 13,657.28 Eur.

In today鈥檚 business environment, companies engaged in project-based activities face the
need to adapt to different market conditions, spread operational risks, and identify the most
financially profitable areas. Business diversification, or more specifically geographic
diversification, allows a company to operate in multiple countries and improve operational
coordination, cost control, workforce allocation, and employee adaptability.
The subject of the study is the commercial activities of UAB 鈥淎limaksa.鈥 The objective of
the study is to assess the impact of commercial diversification on the financial results of UAB
鈥淎limaksa.鈥 Research objectives: to describe the relationship between the diversification of
commercial activities and the company鈥檚 performance, to analyze the commercial activities of
UAB 鈥淎limaksa鈥 for the period 2021鈥2025, and to identify opportunities for improving the
commercial activities of UAB 鈥淎limaksa.鈥 Research methods: analysis of scientific literature,
analysis of financial statement data, horizontal and vertical analysis, analysis of relative financial
ratios, comparison of commercial performance results by country, PESTEL analysis, correlation
analysis, forecasting, and summary of results.
Based on the analysis of UAB 鈥淎limaksa鈥, it is recommended to strengthen operations in
the company鈥檚 main markets, Germany and Spain, to approach new geographic directions with
caution, and to review markets with low financial returns. It is also suggested that more attention
be paid to project selection based on financial viability, cost control, and a more efficient allocation
of the company鈥檚 resources across different markets.

The professional bachelor's thesis consists of 73 pages, 15 figures, 24 tables, 54 references, and 2 appendixes. The thesis examines the possibilities of automating container damage inspection during cargo handling operations at the LKAB 鈥淜laip臈dos Smelt臈鈥 terminal. The relevance of the study is determined by increasing requirements for operational efficiency, safety, and digitalization in container terminals, as well as the need to reduce the risk of human error in the process of assessing the technical condition of containers. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of automating container damage inspection during cargo handling operations at the LKAB 鈥淜laip臈dos Smelt臈鈥 terminal. The objectives of the study are to theoretically analyse container damage inspection technologies in a seaport terminal, analyse container damage inspection technologies during cargo handling operations at the LKAB 鈥淜laip臈dos Smelt臈鈥 terminal, and substantiate the possibilities of applying automation technologies. The research employed scientific literature analysis, comparative analysis, statistical analysis, and case study methods. The findings revealed that the container damage inspection process is primarily based on visual inspection, which creates a risk of subjective assessment and human error. The results of the study demonstrated that the implementation of computer vision, artificial intelligence, OCR, and video analysis technologies can improve defect detection accuracy, data recording quality, and operational efficiency. The proposed solutions may contribute to the further digitalization and automation of terminal processes.

This thesis examines the technological process of shipping container transport at UAB 鈥淐argo 4S,鈥 identifying critical factors contributing to time deviations and proposing solutions to address them. The research problem is based on the fact that significant time and financial losses occur in the intermodal chain due to geopolitical shocks, such as the Red Sea crisis, and internal operational disruptions. The objective of this thesis is to assess the possibilities for optimizing the technological process of maritime container transportation at UAB 鈥淐argo 4S.鈥 The study sets out three main objectives: to define the theoretical foundations of the technological process, to conduct a detailed analysis of the company鈥檚 operations along the export route, and to justify the proposed optimization measures. The study utilized flowcharts, 鈥淵es/No鈥 decision logic, cause-and-effect analysis, and time-measurement methods, which allowed for a quantitative assessment of the throughput of technological operations. The results of the study showed that the standard operation cycle, without deviations, lasts 1 day, 5 hours, and 10 minutes; however, the unreadiness of the cargo for loading at the customer鈥檚 site extends the process by 168 hours, which creates a risk of delaying the delivery of the shipping container by the deadline. The main conclusion states that by implementing a mandatory 24-hour advance cargo readiness confirmation system, the company can strategically manage technological deviations, avoid fines for container detention, and significantly improve the quality and competitiveness of its logistics services in the international market.鈥

The final thesis examines the compatibility of technical and procedural processes for the delivery of waste generated on TT-Line Ro-Pax passenger-cargo ferries at Klaip臈da State Seaport. The research addresses whether the existing waste delivery system is sufficiently efficient under intensive liner shipping conditions, where port stays are limited and sailing schedules are strictly regulated. The study describes the technological characteristics of Ro-Pax shipping and on-board waste streams, evaluates the waste management capacity of TT-Line vessels and the throughput of Klaip臈da Seaport's port reception facilities, and identifies technical and procedural factors limiting the efficiency of waste delivery operations. The research applies systematic analysis of scientific literature, comparative analysis of regulatory documents, a TT-Line vessel case study, and quantitative data analysis. Both analysed vessels, "Marco Polo" and "Nils Dacke", achieve a good level of waste delivery compatibility according to a six-KPI assessment system. The lowest result was recorded in the operational index of m/v "Nils Dacke", attributed to oily waste heating, waste collection vessel mooring, and hose connection processes, which together account for approximately 45 minutes of additional operational time. The hydraulic analysis confirmed sufficient technical capacity of the port reception infrastructure, while the main compatibility limitations were found to stem from operational and procedural rather than infrastructural factors.

This thesis analyzes the safety of dangerous goods transport on Ro-Pax ferries, which simultaneously carry passengers, vehicles, and dangerous goods. The theoretical part discusses customs supervision and technical control processes applied to the inspection of dangerous goods in the Ro-Pax ferry transport chain, technical control measures, and analyzes the risk factors associated with dangerous goods. The practical part of the thesis analyzes the customs control process at the UAB ,,TT-Line鈥 Ro-Pax terminal in the Port of Klaip臈da, the need for technical control measures and alternative methods for inspecting dangerous goods, and identifies opportunities for improving efficiency in the Ro-Pax operational environment. The quantitative indicators of UAB ,,TT-Line鈥 such as vehicle traffic, the share of dangerous goods in the total flow, and their annual changes for the period 2020-2025, in order to identify the main factors limiting efficiency and determine opportunities for improvement under Ro-Pax terminal conditions. The study employed analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, document analysis, systematic analysis, comparative and quantitative indicator analysis, and analysis of expert responses. After evaluating the application of technical controls in the dangerous goods inspection process at Ro-Pax terminals, it was determined that, in the case of UAB ,,TT-Line鈥 specialized technical control measures are not used at the terminal. Photo gates could provide more comprehensive visual information: capturing the vehicle鈥檚 license plate number, the number of the semi-trailer or container, hazardous cargo markings, the external condition of the transport unit, visible damage, or missing markings.

The object of the research is the logistics chain of cargo handling processes at AB 鈥淜N Energies鈥. The aim of the research is to assess the impact of ensuring cargo handling process safety on AB 鈥淜N Energies鈥 logistics chain. To achieve this aim, three objectives were set: to analyse the importance of process safety in hazardous cargo handling logistics; to evaluate factors shaping process safety assurance; and identify the main process safety risks.
The relevance of the research problem reveals that cargo handling processes are related to the movement of hazardous substances within the terminal and are therefore characterised by increased accident risk. Process safety includes hazard identification, reliability of technological processes, accident prevention, reduction of consequences. Therefore, its assessment is relevant to ensure safe operations, identify weak points, and determine measures.
The research methods include scientific literature analysis, content analysis of IMO conventions, legal acts, and AB 鈥淜N Energies鈥 Safety Management System Guidelines (2025), statistical data analysis, interview, case study, technological process analysis, PESTEL and SWOT analyses. The results show that process safety depends on technological, organisational, and human factors.

This professional Bachelor's thesis examines the impact of human resource management on employee job satisfaction at UAB 鈥濳linkera鈥. The relevance of the topic is determined by the fact that employee job satisfaction is one of the key factors influencing employee motivation, engagement, loyalty, and organizational performance. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of human resource management on employee job satisfaction at UAB 鈥濳linkera鈥. The research was conducted using scientific literature analysis, questionnaire survey, PEST analysis, and SWOT analysis methods. The findings revealed that employees positively evaluate work organization, workload distribution, adaptation of new employees, and relationships with colleagues. However, the need for stronger feedback practices, greater professional development opportunities, and a more systematic employee performance evaluation process was identified. Based on the research results, an employee performance evaluation system was proposed to enhance employee development, motivation, and job satisfaction.
