This bachelor鈥檚 thesis examines the design of a paver laying device mounted on a loader base. The aim of the work is to develop a universal and technically justified concept of a device that would enable the mechanized gripping, transfer, orientation and precise placement of a paving block layer by using the hydraulic system of a loader. The thesis includes an analysis of analogous machines and patent solutions, an assessment of applicable normative documents, and the selection of the main drive and structural solutions: two double-acting hydraulic cylinders for controlling the movable clamping beam of the gripper, a hydraulic rotary unit for rotating the gripper, telescopic guides, adjustable side alignment guides, contact clamping pads and a hydraulic rotary unit providing 360掳 rotation. The operating principle of the device was formulated, the initial design assumptions and kinematic scheme were defined, force and hydraulic calculations were performed, and the structure was detailed. The thesis consists of an introduction, a review of analogous devices, a patent review, a review of normative documents, the selection of drive and structural solutions, a description of the operating principle of the device, calculations, conclusions, a list of references and appendices. The scope of the thesis: 81 pages of text, excluding appendices, 29 figures, 16 tables, 28 bibliographic sources.

This thesis presents the design and development of adjustable-width trailer intended for the transportation of oversized cargo, particularly heavy construction and industrial machinery. The work analyzes existing trailer types, widening mechanisms, European transport regulations, and operational requirements related to oversized cargo transportation. Based on the conducted literature and prototype analysis, a new trailer concept combining telescopic support beams with synchronized hydraulic widening cylinders was proposed. The structural design of the trailer was developed considering both strength and operational flexibility. Calculations of payload capacity, axle load distribution, bending moments, stresses, and deflections of the main structural elements were performed. Particular attention was given to the telescopic outriggers, locking-pin mechanism, and welded connections to ensure safe load transfer and structural durability during operation. A hydraulic system for deck widening and ramp actuation was also designed, including calculations of hydraulic cylinders, pressure, flow rate, and hydraulic station parameters. Numerical simulations and analytical verification confirmed that the proposed structure satisfies the required strength and stiffness criteria under both static and dynamic loading conditions. The developed trailer concept ensures compliance with European transport legislation while improving the adaptability and efficiency of oversized cargo transportation. The results demonstrate that the proposed adjustable-width trailer is a technically reliable solution that suitable for modern heavy transport applications.

The final bachelor鈥檚 thesis examines the design of a single-seat electric aircraft 鈥 a weight-shift-controlled electric aircraft. The work develops a modular structural concept in which the delta wing is selected as a purchased module, while the main design focus is placed on the aircraft frame, electric propulsion system, replaceable battery cassette, component layout, and safe operation. The thesis includes an overview of similar aircraft and electrification solutions, an analysis of patent and regulatory sources, the formulation of design requirements, the selection of main components, and calculations of power, energy, mass, and structural strength. The frame structure is evaluated using S460 structural steel, while the main load cases are based on a 2g design load. Additional checks are provided for the battery, motor, propeller, landing gear, welded joints, and fastening elements. The result of the work is a concept of a single-seat electric aircraft with justified propulsion and structural solutions, calculation summaries, and recommendations for operation, testing, and maintenance. Scope of the thesis: the final thesis includes figures, tables, formulas, a list of references, and appendices.

Thesis abstract (EN)
The Master's thesis analyzes biodiesel production technology as well as its physical and chemical properties. An analysis of Greenhouse Gas emissions statistics from marine transport and scientific publications was performed. In the research methodology section, an experimental research methodology was developed providing for bench tests of an internal combustion engine using marine gas oil, hydrotreated vegetable oil and their blends. During the study engine energy indicators (effective engine power, hourly fuel consumption, specific effective fuel consumption, engine effective efficiency coefficient) and emission concentrations (NOx, CO, CO2, CH) as well as smoke opacity were evaluated. Taking into account the International Maritime Organization guidelines, a complex fuel use assessment indicator is created and multicriteria analysis is performed. The research results are processed. Finally, the conclusions regarding the biodiesel using impact on engine operating efficiency, economic and environmental pollution reduction are presented.

This thesis examines the habits of electric scooter (e-scooter) users, the challenges associated with urban micromobility, and the opportunities for fostering a safer traffic culture through technological, infrastructural, and regulatory improvements. With the rapid growth of e-scooter usage in urban areas, concerns regarding rider behavior, road safety, infrastructure limitations, and traffic regulation enforcement have become increasingly significant. The study focuses on identifying the main safety challenges related to e-scooter integration into modern transport systems and proposes practical solutions for improving urban mobility and reducing accident risks. The research combines theoretical analysis with practical evaluation methods. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to examine previous studies on e-scooter safety, rider behavior, accident causes, infrastructure development, and regulatory policies. The study highlights common safety concerns such as speeding, riding without helmets, intoxicated riding, improper parking, and conflicts with pedestrians. International case studies from cities such as Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona were analyzed to identify best practices in infrastructure planning, geofencing implementation, and urban mobility management. To evaluate safety measures systematically, the study applies the Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) method using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The methodology enables the comparison and prioritization of multiple safety-related criteria, including rider behavior, infrastructure quality, safety awareness, and regulatory enforcement. Expert evaluations and survey data from e-scooter users in Vilnius were used to construct pairwise comparison matrices and determine the relative importance of each criterion. The consistency of the decision-making process was verified using the Consistency Ratio (CR), ensuring reliable and logically consistent results. The research also introduces geofencing technology as a practical solution for improving e-scooter safety in urban safety.

This bachelor鈥檚 final thesis examines the possibility of adapting a passenger baggage railway carriage for the transportation of passenger cars. The thesis reviews analogues of car transportation by rail, the structures of passenger and specialized wagons, patents, and the main regulatory documents. A model 61-7093 baggage wagon was selected for the proposed prototype. The thesis presents the design of a turning mechanism that allows a car to be rotated inside the wagon and directed to the intended parking position. The dimensions of the turning platform are 5.2 脳 2.5 m, and the maximum vehicle mass assumed in the calculations is 3.5 t. Calculations were carried out for the platform frame, central unit, support rollers, bearings, gear transmission, and geared motor. It is also planned that up to four passenger cars can be transported in the wagon, secured during transportation with wheel stops. The thesis presents structural solutions, calculations, and aspects of occupational safety and environmental protection. The results obtained show that, with the installation of additional equipment, a passenger baggage wagon can be used for transporting passenger cars by rail. Aim of the thesis 鈥 To analyse methods of transporting passenger cars by rail and to evaluate the possibilities of adapting a passenger wagon for car transportation. The thesis consists of: an introduction, literature analysis, review of analogues and patents, review of regulatory documents, description of the proposed prototype, design of the turning mechanism and structural calculations, description of the designed mechanism, environmental protection and occupational safety sections, conclusions, list of references, and drawings. The final master鈥榮 thesis investigates necessity of in-wheel suspension for micro-mobility vehicles, dynamic characteristics, fluid flow analysis. Literature review presents scientific articles that examine comfort of micro-mobility vehicles and the need of suspension both experimentally and mathematically. The research section establishes the methodology of the study, describes mathematical research conducted while comparing micro-mobility vehicle with and without suspension. Two mathematical models were developed using 鈥濵ATLAB鈥 software for suspension necessity assesment. An additional mathematical model was created for determination of suitable in-wheel suspension assembly. A fluid flow analysis was performed in 鈥濧NSYS Fluent鈥. Research results were presented. Based on the results, a riding comfort assessment was conducted and recommendations for safe riding are formulated. Structure: introduction, literature review, mathematical modelling, fluid flow analysis, conclusions and suggestions, references. Thesis consist of: 70 p. text without appendixes, 87 figures, 4 tables, 17 references.

This bachelor thesis analyses the literature on transmissions of electric off-road vehicles and designs an electric drive transmission based on the Toyota Hilux. An analysis of patents and analogous devices has been carried out, and their technical solutions, advantages and disadvantages have been assessed. Based on the analysis, a concept was selected in which the standard vehicle gearbox is replaced by a two-speed planetary reducer while retaining the original transfer case and the front and rear differentials. The vehicle power demand was calculated and an electric motor and a high-voltage battery were selected; design calculations of the planetary reducer and strength calculations of the gears, shafts and spline joints were performed, and occupational safety and environmental protection measures were specified. The aim of the work is to design an efficient, reliable and safe transmission for an electric off-road vehicle that meets the operational requirements of the base vehicle, and to formulate conclusions and proposals. The thesis consists of: introduction, theoretical review part, design part, environmental and occupational safety part, conclusions and proposals, list of references and appendices. The volume of the thesis is 60 p. of text, without appendices, 14 figures, 17 tables, 19 bibliographic sources.

This bachelor鈥檚 thesis examines the modification of the front suspension of a Nissan Silvia S13 by designing a double-wishbone front suspension for sports use. The thesis analyzes similar technical solutions, patents, and the main structural features of suspension systems. Based on the vehicle鈥檚 geometric data and measured suspension reference points, a kinematic scheme of the new suspension was developed. Front-view and side-view kinematic calculations were performed, and the main suspension points, wheel camber angle, steering axis position, and roll center height were determined. The suspension geometry was additionally verified in the VSusp environment. In the design part, the main suspension components were created in SolidWorks: the lower and upper control arms, wheel carrier, upper arm mounting bracket, and bushing components. Strength analysis of the main parts was carried out by evaluating stresses, displacements, and factors of safety. The obtained results showed that the designed components withstand the applied loads and are suitable for the initial design version. The thesis consists of 93 pages without appendices, 33 figures, 12 tables, and 56 references. Appendices are attached separately.

This thesis presents the design and development of a prototype low-loader semi-trailer intended for transportation of oversized and heavy machinery. The developed trailer includes a low loading platform, four-axle running gear, reinforced gooseneck structure, and hydraulically operated rear loading ramps. Structural calculations of the frame and ramps were performed according to engineering design principles and verified using SolidWorks Simulation software. The hydraulic lifting system was designed based on calculated lifting forces and commercially available hydraulic components were selected for the developed system. The thesis includes literature analysis, engineering calculations, 3D modelling, finite element simulations, hydraulic system design, and preparation of technical drawings and assembly documentation.
