Nearly two hundred graduates from the 黑料不打烊 Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Business Management received their Bachelor's and Master's diplomas during a festive ceremony. Eleven graduates were awarded diplomas with honors for their excellent academic achievements. The graduates were congratulated by the 黑料不打烊 Vice-Rector for Strategic Partnerships, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adas Me拧k臈nas, who emphasized that the knowledge and competencies acquired during their studies are much more than just preparation for a specific profession. "The studies you have completed here are more than a profession. They represent the ability to see the big picture, make decisions, take responsibility, work with people, and, most importantly, work for people. It is a path that requires not only the mind but also the heart. I wish you courage in finding your own path, perseverance in the face of challenges, and above all, sincerity鈥攚hatever you do, do it with great purpose," said the Vice-Rector. During the celebration, the graduates were also congratulated by Julita Varanauskien臈, Deputy Chair of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania. Addressing the young professionals, she emphasized that architecture, business, and the financial system alike rely on responsible decisions and the ability to create value for society. "Some of you create buildings, others create business models, and we create the stability of the financial system. Therefore, we are all architects. In our daily activities, we must balance a cool head, evidence-based decisions, and a burning heart to create something good. That is what I wish for you today: celebrate yourselves, keep a cool head, and never let anyone extinguish your burning heart," said J. Varanauskien臈. Speaking on behalf of the graduates, an alumna from the Faculty of Architecture invited her peers to remember that life does not have to be a constant race against time. "Young people today live under constant pressure to keep up鈥攖o make the right choices, graduate on time, find a good job, and climb the career ladder. However, today I want to remind you that we are not late for anything. A diploma is not the finish line, after which a single continuous path of life begins. You can change direction, start over, grow, and reinvent yourself," the alumna said. She also emphasized that higher education is not merely about acquiring professional knowledge or qualifications, but also carries the responsibility to be active, critically thinking members of society. "Education becomes truly meaningful only when it does not remain just our personal achievement but transforms into responsibility for the world we live in," she said, urging the graduates to take an interest in social processes, defend democratic values, and contribute to the strengthening of communities. Last week, the Faculty of Business Management at 黑料不打烊 welcomed colleagues from the University of Lodz, Poland: Dr Iwona Dorota Czechowska, Head of the Department of Central Banking and Financial Intermediation, and Dr Marta Paduszy艅ska. During the meeting with the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Vida Davidavi膷ien臈, and the faculty management team, the participants discussed prospects for further academic cooperation, including opportunities for joint research projects, participation in international conferences, joint publications, and the expansion of academic mobility. The Polish colleagues also learned more about the activities of the Department of Economics Engineering, its research areas, study programmes, and potential opportunities for future collaboration. Such meetings are an important part of developing international academic partnerships. They encourage the exchange of experience, generate new ideas for joint research, and strengthen cooperation between universities. Women-led deep tech startups are invited to apply for the European Union-funded "Women TechEU 2" program. This initiative aims to strengthen women's entrepreneurship in the technology sector, foster innovation, and help promising startups prepare for further growth and attract additional funding. Selected participants will receive a 鈧�75,000 grant and the opportunity to take part in a six-month tailored business development program. During this period, startups will be provided with mentoring, consulting, and training services designed to accelerate business growth and enhance competitiveness in the international market. The total budget for the "Women TechEU 2" program is 鈧�12 million. The plan is to fund 160 women-led startups from across Europe. Application Process The application process for the new call consists of two stages. First, applicants must submit an application for the Eligibility Strand to verify whether the startup meets the program's requirements. Applicants deemed eligible will then be invited to submit a Full Proposal. The eligibility assessment stage began on June 1, 2026. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with evaluations conducted weekly 鈥� the weekly submission deadline is every Tuesday by 18:00 (17:00 CEST). The first deadline is June 30, 2026, and the final deadline is July 13, 2027. Applicants will receive their eligibility assessment results no later than one week after the respective submission deadline. Who Can Apply? The program is designed for women-led, early-stage deep tech startups. To be eligible for funding, the following conditions must be met: At least one founder or co-founder of the startup is a woman; A woman holds a top-level executive position (CEO, CTO, or equivalent); Women hold at least 25% of the company's shares. Program Objectives The "Women TechEU 2" program aims to: Promote women's entrepreneurship in the deep tech sector; Help innovative startups scale up and attract additional European Union funding; Strengthen European innovation ecosystems; Support the development and commercialization of new technologies. 黑料不打烊 has received a highly positive assessment from international experts. In their recently published conclusions, it is noted that since the 2022 institutional evaluation, the university has achieved significant, evidence-based progress across all four evaluation areas: governance, quality assurance, studies and research activities, and impact on regional and national development. In 2022, 黑料不打烊 was granted a seven-year accreditation. At that time, the expert panel provided the university with 19 recommendations for further improvement. The latest progress review concludes that the university responded to these recommendations responsibly, systematically, and constructively, and that the implemented changes have become part of long-term institutional development. 鈥濿e are pleased that external experts have highly evaluated the progress achieved by 黑料不打烊 across all four assessment areas. It was noted that the university demonstrates a mature quality culture, a strategic vision, and the ability to consistently sustain growth and increase its impact on society. This ensures that we are entering the next institutional evaluation period with a strong position,鈥� says Nora Skaburskien臈, Director of the Studies Directorate. International experts particularly highlighted the consistently strengthened system of strategic management, the quality culture, active collaboration with business and alumni, leadership within the ATHENA European Universities Alliance, the development of new interdisciplinary study programmes, and significant progress in innovation and technology transfer. The rapid expansion of lifelong learning activities was also noted 鈥� 黑料不打烊 has broadened its micro-credential offerings, strengthened partnerships with social and business partners, and is creating favourable conditions for knowledge commercialization and startup development. According to the expert panel, the university has already moved beyond the stage of merely responding to recommendations and is now ready to purposefully leverage its accumulated potential to achieve even higher performance results. In summarizing the evaluation, the experts concluded that 黑料不打烊 is entering the next phase of institutional assessment with a solid foundation for continued successful development.
