The bachelor鈥檚 thesis examines the warehouse operations expansion project at UAB 鈥淭aurinas鈥. The paper analyses a problem related to the company鈥檚 growing business volumes, high warehouse occupancy, limited expansion opportunities of the existing rented facility, and the need to improve warehouse process efficiency. The aim of the research is to prepare a warehouse operations expansion project for UAB 鈥淭aurinas鈥 and to evaluate its managerial and economic justification. The thesis applies scientific literature analysis, single case study analysis, document and secondary data analysis, financial ratio analysis, SWOT analysis, comparison of alternatives, project solution modelling based on PMBOK principles, and investment economic evaluation methods. The empirical part evaluates the dynamics of UAB 鈥淭aurinas鈥 operating and financial indicators, warehouse system limitations, market alternatives, and the possibility of constructing a company-owned centralized warehouse. The research results showed that the need for warehouse operations expansion is justified by high warehouse occupancy, limited development possibilities of the existing infrastructure, partially manual processes, and insufficient technological readiness. The prepared warehouse operations expansion project is structured according to PMBOK logic, defining the project scope, investments, financing model, work breakdown structure, quality guidelines, implementation plan, and risk management. The economic evaluation showed that, according to classical financial indicators, the project is not sufficiently attractive over a 10-year period; however, it may be considered a long-term strategic infrastructure solution if the technical cost estimate is revised, external financing is secured, and phased implementation is assessed. The thesis consists of an introduction, theoretical part, methodological part, empirical-project part, conclusions, references, and appendices.

The EU financial services industry faces increasing regulatory pressure related to sustainability, and private providers have introduced ESG scores to quantify companies鈥 compliance. Companies are required to implement sustainability practices and achieve high ESG ratings. However, there is limited evidence on how ESG compliance affects financial performance, including balance sheet strength and market value. This research examines if companies with higher ESG scores also demonstrate superior financial performance. Using data from Bloomberg, this study analyzes ESG ratings and financial indicators for 190 European financial services companies. Due to the non-normal distribution of real-world data, Spearman correlation analysis was applied to identify monotonic relationships between ESG scores and financial indicators. The strongest relationships were observed in balance sheet metrics and market capitalization. Non-linear regression (power model) further confirmed that balance sheet and market value metrics can be meaningfully explained by variations in ESG scores, while profitability measures and return ratios show weaker associations. The results reveal a positive monotonic relationship between higher ESG scores and larger liabilities, as well as a weak inverse relationship with cash flows from investing and financing activities. Overall, the findings confirm that companies with higher ESG scores tend to have strategically stronger financial positions, larger balance sheets and market value, but not necessarily higher short-term returns. The study is significant for academic and practical audience by demonstrating that the relationship between ESG performance and financial outcomes is primarily monotonic rather than linear. It suggests that companies should view ESG initiatives as long-term investments that support market expansion, despite short-term increases in costs and liabilities. Policymakers may consider introducing threshold-based incentives to reflect the gradual, not instant, financial impact of ESG actions.

The Master鈥檚 thesis analyses the impact of remote work on an organisation鈥檚 innovation culture, based on the case of the State Tax Inspectorate. The study examines the concept of innovation culture, the factors shaping it, and the challenges faced by public sector organisations under remote work conditions. A review of scientific literature revealed seven key criteria of innovation culture: collaboration, technologies, autonomy, leadership, creativity, engagement, and adaptability. In the empirical part of the thesis, structured interviews and expert evaluation were applied to identify the most relevant innovation culture criteria in the context of remote work. Using the TOPSIS method, the suitability of different work models鈥攖raditional, hybrid, and fully remote鈥攆or strengthening innovation culture was assessed. The results of the study showed that the hybrid work model best combines technological, social, and managerial prerequisites essential for innovation development. Based on the collected data, an innovation culture strengthening model for a public sector organisation was developed, providing practical recommendations for improving leadership practices, technological tools, and collaboration forms. The final part of the thesis presents conclusions and proposals aimed at enhancing innovation culture under hybrid work conditions. The thesis consists of three main parts: introduction, theoretical and empirical sections, conclusions, and a list of references. The scope of the thesis is 58 pages of text excluding appendices, 11 illustrations, 15 tables, and 71 bibliographic sources. Appendices are provided separately.

The aim of the research conducted in this master鈥檚 thesis is to design an empirically grounded green business model for retail e-commerce, focused on reducing environmental impact. Based on a systematic analysis of the scientific literature, a theoretical green business model and a set of criteria and sub-criteria for environmental impact reduction were developed. In the empirical part of the thesis, an expert survey was carried out and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was applied, which made it possible to empirically identify the most important solutions for reducing the environmental impact of retail e-commerce. Drawing on the obtained results and the hierarchical system, a green business model for retail e-commerce was designed, integrating priority environmental impact mitigation solutions into the elements of the Business Model Canvas. Having examined the theoretical and practical aspects of reducing the environmental impact of retail e-commerce, the green business model for retail e-commerce and the conclusions of the thesis are presented. The study consists of an introduction, an analysis of scientific literature on reducing the environmental impact of retail e-commerce, the application of an expert survey and the Analytic Hierarchy Process method in retail e-commerce, a green business model in retail e-commerce, conclusions, list of references. The volume of the thesis is 85 pages of text without appendices, 11 figures, 19 tables, and 204 bibliographic sources. The appendices of the thesis are provided separately.

This research analyzes the impacts of innovative technologies specifically the Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and cloud computing on international business performance in the logistics industry of Sri Lanka. It also addresses the mediating role of the level of skills among workforce, where human players play a role in transforming the digital investments into organizational benefits. Data from 300 logistics professionals involved in international operations was used to implement a quantitative, explanatory, cross-sectional design. The first collection of primary data collected via structured questionnaires applied according to the validated measurement scales, and correlation and regression analyses were conducted to determine direct and moderating effects that exist between the variables. The findings reveal that the implementation of new technologies leads to a significant improvement in the efficiency of doing business, quality of services, and the overall performance of the international business. In addition, digital competency of the workforce including technical, analytical and adaptive competencies enhances this relationship greatly and it emphasizes that the effectiveness of technology requires human capability. The evidence confirms the conceptual model, which assumes that the variables of technological adoption and workforce preparedness depend on each other and are the necessary conditions of performance enhancement. The research also adds to both theoretical and practical discussion by combining the sociotechnical perspective, emphasizing the dual imperative of investment in technologies and the upskilling of the workforce. To practitioners and policymakers, the findings offer evidence-based policy recommendations on metamorphosis to digitalization, workforce education, and policy formulation geared towards the competitiveness of the Sri Lanka logistics sector in the international market.

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the application of innovative processes in logistics companies from a theoretical perspective and, based on the case of UAB 鈥淕BY Group鈥, to identify the main barriers to their application and provide improvement directions. The theoretical part discusses the concept, types, application areas, benefits, implementation challenges and improvement opportunities of innovative processes in logistics companies. The methodological part presents the selected research method, the structure of the employee survey, data analysis methods and research limitations. The empirical part presents the activities of UAB 鈥淕BY Group鈥, the technologies used in the company, the analysis of employee survey results and the main improvement directions for innovative processes. The bachelor thesis examines the application of gamification in customer loyalty programs in order to identify the factors that make it attractive to consumers and the challenges that may reduce its effectiveness. The topic is relevant because digital loyalty programs are becoming an increasingly important tool for customer retention. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the impact of gamification on customer engagement and loyalty and to provide recommendations for its application in loyalty programs. The research was conducted using scientific literature analysis and a quantitative method 鈥 an online questionnaire survey. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, including response distributions and mean values of Likert scale statements. The results showed that the most important factors for consumers are clear rules, tangible value, visible progress and ease of use. It was concluded that gamification can increase the attractiveness of loyalty programs and customer engagement, but it should be applied moderately and create real value for the user. The thesis consists of an introduction, scientific literature analysis, research methodology, empirical results analysis, recommendations and conclusions.

In the final master's thesis, the modelling of digital innovation implementation in the financial sector and the factors determining its effectiveness are examined. The research analyses the concepts of innovation and digital innovation, their classification frameworks, and synthesises the main innovation implementation and innovation development models. An empirical study of digitalisation trends in the financial sector was conducted to identify the key determinants influencing the success of digital innovation adoption. Descriptive, correlational, and regression statistical analyses, complemented by an expert evaluation, were applied to assess digitalisation indicators and the factors shaping them. The correlation and regression analyses revealed interdependencies among these factors and their influence on digital innovation implementation processes. After analysing and systematising the theoretical and empirical material, a digital innovation implementation model for financial sector companies was proposed.

The final bachelor鈥檚 thesis examines project risk management at UAB 鈥濾ilniaus vandenys鈥. The literature review discusses the concept of project risk management and the stages of the risk management process. In addition, risk classification and sources are analyzed. The PMBOK and ISO 31000:2018 standards are also presented. The empirical part of the thesis presents the activities and ongoing projects of UAB 鈥濾ilniaus vandenys鈥, includes a structured interview with the company鈥檚 risk management manager, and identifies areas for improvement. Improvement proposals are provided for each identified issue in order to ensure a more efficient project risk management process within the company. The thesis consists of 7 parts: introduction, literature review on project risk management, research methodology for improving project risk management at UAB 鈥濾ilniaus vandenys鈥, analysis of project risk management and improvement proposals at UAB 鈥濾ilniaus vandenys鈥, conclusions, references, and appendices. With remote work becoming an integral part of the global tech industry, the research underscores the necessity for comprehensive management strategies that encompass leadership techniques, personnel policies, and technological setups. The initial part of the document introduces the context of the study, emphasizing the increasing trend towards remote work globally and the particular difficulties that technology firms encounter in overseeing teams spread across different locations. This study outlines its primary goals, focusing on pinpointing coordination issues in remote teams, analyzing the influence of digital tools on communication and collaboration, and evaluating the effects of virtual work environments on productivity and employee satisfaction. The second part examines existing research on remote work, organizational behavior, and technology-assisted management. It explores crucial topics including communication obstacles, alterations in managerial approaches, technological proficiency demands, and the psychological impacts of remote work. The review highlights a deficiency in an integrated, technology-oriented theoretical framework, emphasizing the necessity for a specialized model specifically designed for the technology sector. The third part details the research methodology and results from analyzing case studies of three technology firms: BetGames, CyberOne, and Nemotek. The research employs a blend of qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate communication efficacy, managerial backing, job contentment, technological adaptability, and operational efficiency. The results highlight recurring difficulties, such as coordination delays and information voids, alongside showcasing that competent leadership and robust digital frameworks greatly improve remote work performance.
