Library services are provided upon providing a Lithuanian student’s or ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ employee’s ID card or personal identification document. The user service procedure in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Library is regulated by the Procedure for Using the Services of the Library of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.
Publications are only available for loan to members of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community.
Publications are searched in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ , which allows you to search all resources of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ_¶À¼ÒºÚÁÏ_³Ô¹ÏÍø51±¬ÁÏ Library, the LST standards, the catalogue, subscription databases, and open-access electronic resources.
The Virtual Library can be accessed from any computerised workstation with internet access. Those browsing outside the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ network must use a VPN service to read full-text electronic publications.
Issues/lending publications. All publications, including periodicals, are available for home loan. To borrow publications for home loan, please order them from the  . In the Virtual Library, the user can also place an order for a checked-out publication by reserving it in advance. The reserved item will be kept for 3 working days, after which the reservation will be cancelled. After placing your order, please wait for the notification that your order is ready and collect it at the specified place: the Information Centre of the Central Library (1st-floor hall) or the Reading Room in the Faculty.
Publications are loaned from 1 week to 6 months, depending on demand and the number of copies available.
It is possible to check out the required publications from the Library’s open collection 24/7 using the self-service machine located in the Information Centre of the Central Library (1st-floor hall), or the publication can be issued by a member of staff (Monday through Friday, from 09:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.).

Publications are available only for home loan to members of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community.
In case of overdue debt, no take-home publications will be issued.

Order a copy of a part of the publication in either electronic or hard copy format. Orders can be made by clicking on Order copy in the  next to the publication. You can only order a copy of a part of a publication, not the entire publication. There is a charge for this service.
The hard copy can be collected from the Central Library Information Centre (1st floor hall).

Publications can be returned at the User Service Desk during opening hours or at any time of the day using the book return box, which is located near the entrance of the Central Library. Publications checked out from any library unit may be returned in this manner.
In the Faculty Reading Room, publications are returned to a member of the Reading Room staff.
Please note that late returns are subject to overdue charges. Please check which publications you have borrowed and when they are due back, to extend the deadline for returning publications and to check the overdue debt, log in to your  account, by phoning us at (0 5) 274 49 00, by writing an email biblioteka@vilniustech.lt or contacting a member of the Library staff.

At the end or termination of the study/employment, before long-term holidays or internship, users are obliged to return all borrowed publications and to pay the Library for publications that are not returned on time or that are lost.
If the item is not on hold for another user, the return period can be extended in the  by logging in to Library Card, by submitting a request by phone (0 5) 274 49 00 or by e-mail biblioteka@vilniustech.lt.
Readers who do not return the issued publications in time must pay an overdue fine for each delay day for each unreturned publication:
EUR 0.10 if the loan was for a semester (6-month period);
EUR 0.15 if the loan was for a month or a shorter period;
If the amount of the overdue fine exceeds EUR 30.00, the staff member may offer to buy a new publication for the library in place of the overdue fee.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ employees and lecturers who cannot find the required academic text in our library’s collections can order it from other Lithuanian or foreign libraries.
Interlibrary Loan (IL) – a service that provides the possibility to order publications from other Lithuanian libraries through the mediation of one library.
International Interlibrary Loan (IIL) – a service that provides the possibility for one state library to use the collection of another state library.
