This Master's thesis analyses the possibilities of assessing chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) concentration in inland water bodies using remote sensing methods, integrating satellite data and GIS tools. The aim of the study is to evaluate how accurately satellite-derived Chl-a estimates correspond to in situ measurements, and whether localized Gitelson model coefficients improve the accuracy of results under Lithuanian conditions. An analysis of Sentinel-2 and Landsat 8鈥9 satellite images was carried out, selecting low-cloud-cover periods and comparing Chl-a values obtained using different methods with direct measurements. The data were processed using GIS tools, which allowed for precise delineation of waterbody boundaries, the application of regional coefficients, and visualization of the results. It was found that localized coefficients (a = 2.76; b = 12.97) significantly reduce discrepancies, especially in Sentinel-2 data, although in some areas the accuracy was still insufficient for practical application without further model refinement. Remote sensing methods can serve as a supplementary tool for forming a general picture of water quality, particularly when rapid monitoring over large areas is needed. The paper presents conclusions and recommendations for integrating remote sensing methods into water quality monitoring practice. The thesis consists of five parts: introduction, theoretical background, research methodology, research results, and conclusions. The total volume of the thesis 鈥 46 pages of text excluding appendices, 20 illustrations, 9 tables, and 18 references. Appendices are attached separately.

Traditional road infrastructure monitoring methods are effective; however, they are often labour-intensive, costly, and limited to their possible coverage. This thesis investigates how remote sensing technologies can be leveraged to enhance road infrastructure monitoring, with a focus on satellite imagery and the associated analytical tools. The development of satellite imagery and its processing solutions has transformed road infrastructure monitoring by enabling large-scale, near-real-time assessments. High-resolution data from missions like Copernicus Sentinel and commercial providers such as Airbus, reveal road surfaces, environmental conditions impact, and changes in infrastructure. Integrated with advanced platforms and algorithms, such imagery helps detect structural issues, track construction progress, and mitigate weather impacts, ultimately enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability of road networks. Advanced remote sensing platforms provide critical insights and actionable intelligence for road infrastructure management. By integrating multiple data sources, such as satellite imagery and ground-based sensors or integrating diverse data processing methods, decision-makers can proactively identify potential risks, monitor asset conditions, and plan appropriate maintenance strategies. These approaches enhance operational efficiency, minimize costs, and contribute to safer, more resilient transport networks. Furthermore, user-friendly interfaces and automated reporting ensure that essential information reaches stakeholders in a timely manner, facilitating effective decision-making and resource allocation. These innovative remote sensing solutions contribute to extending the life cycle of infrastructure by addressing current challenges and anticipating future best practices in road management.

A large part of geodetic measurements are performed using GPS receivers in real-time kinematic mode, receiving corrections from constantly operating reference networks. Corrections are transmitted in various formats and support various global positioning systems. In practice, it is often encountered that when performing measurements in unfavorable conditions (near tall buildings, trees and other obstacles), the measurement quality indicators of GPS receivers are too optimistic and this can lead to larger measurement errors, therefore it is appropriate to investigate what impact such measurements can have on the measurement results. After analyzing the literature and scientific articles, and completing practical tasks, were made conclusions and suggestions of the thesis. The bachelor thesis consists of 7 parts: introduction, theoretical part, experiment part, economical part, work safety, conclusions and suggestions, bibliography. Thesis consists of 鈥 59 pages excluding appendixes, 51 pictures, 19 tables, 30 bibliographical sources. Work accessories are included separately.

The aim of the Master's thesis is to investigate the time series of geodetic coordinates of active stations using the latest methods of general engineering science. Key objectives included analysing the coordinate time series of LitPOS network stations (MLTI, MRJM, VGTU) using 鈥濼sView鈥 and 鈥濬翱顿滨罢厂鈥 software to identify discontinuities and outliers, reprocessing data by removing errors, and refining the mathematical processing methodology for active GNSS networks. The study determined the movement trends and seasonal variations of the analysed stations, as well as a significant common coordinate discontinuity on November 27, 2022, associated with the transition to the IGS20 reference frame. A comparative assessment of 鈥濼sView鈥 and 鈥濬翱顿滨罢厂鈥 software revealed their methodological advantages, disadvantages, and complementarity in analysing geodetic coordinate time series. The novelty of the work is based on the detailed analysis of specific LitPOS station time series, applying and comparing different software tools, and providing methodological proposals. The obtained results and methodical solutions are applicable for the monitoring of LitPOS network stations, geodynamic process research, and maintaining the accuracy of geodetic measurements. The main conclusion is that both programs are effective tools for time series analysis; it is recommended to integrate events identified by 鈥濬翱顿滨罢厂鈥 into network solutions using "Bernese" software. The thesis comprises 74 pages and 60 bibliographical sources.

In the final bachelor鈥榮 thesis, cadastral measurements of a residential building were done by using a laser distance meter. The objects鈥 identity, building composition data, geometrical data of inner and outer walls, and other cadastral data. Analyzing the laws regulating building cadastral measuring and the preparation of cadastral data file. A cadastral data file was prepared for a building in Klaip臈da鈥檚 Melnrag臈 neighborhood, N臈gi懦 St. A comparison of measuring methods was made, as well as analysis of measurement results. The work consists of an introduction, eight chapters, conclusions and references. Thesis consists of: 45 pages text, 32 illustrations, 5 tables, 16 bibliographical sources. This master thesis analyzes land use changes in the surroundings of 痴颈别拧颈苍迟辞蝉 town, Anyk拧膷iai district, over the past 200 years, based on cartographic materials from the 19th century to the present. The study used historical and modern maps, GIS technologies, aerial photographs, and LIDAR data. Quantitative and spatial analysis was performed to assess the changes in arable land, forests, wetlands, built-up areas, and water bodies over different periods. The results revealed a significant increase in arable land area, which remains dominant, while the area of natural territories鈥攅specially wetlands and forests鈥攈as decreased or fragmented. The research showed that land use structure was influenced by social, economic, technological, and natural factors: land reclamation, urbanization, agrarian reforms, and landscape transformations. The findings are important for spatial planning, environmental protection, and the development of sustainable strategies.

The main objective of the bachelor work is to analyze the opportunities of determining gravity field parameters, review the technologies used, examine the features of gravity acceleration determination, and estimate the importance of gravimetric measurements in renewal of Lithuanian national geodetic vertical first order network. The study compares gravity anomaly values obtained using different methods at the points of the 5th polygon of this network. The thesis reviews the history of gravitational field studies and the establishment of Lithuanian geodetic vertical and gravimetric networks, analyzes the methodology for determining gravity parameters, creates a Bouguer anomaly map, and evaluates the differences in anomalies at the 5th polygon points based on calculated and interpolated values. A cost estimation for gravimetric measurements at the 5th polygon points is provided, along with a description of work safety procedures. The structure of the final work: introduction, five chapters, conclusions, references. Thesis consists of 81 pages excluding appendixes, 64 pictures, 10 tables, 55 bibliographical sources.

The main objective of the bachelor work is to analyze and evaluate the renewal process of the first-class Lithuanian state geodetic vertical network. Analyzing the technical requirements for the establishment of geodetic vertical networks. The measurement process and the equipment used are examined, and the challenges encountered during the work are discussed. A database of marks for the 5th polygon is created, the renewed points are distinguished. The measurement data of the updated 5th polygon are analyzed - changes in marks heights and changes in line course height differences. An estimate for the renewal of the first-class 5th polygon of the state geodetic vertical network is prepared. Health and safety of work are described. The conclusions of the work with suggestions and recommendations are presented. The bachelor work consists of five parts: introduction, five chapters, conclusions, suggestions and recommendations, and bibliography. The aim of this thesis is to use GIS technology to investigate the impact of urbanisation and agricultural land change trends in Klaip臈da district. The study was conducted to study the legal regulation of land use and planning, to analyse the principles of application of GIS technology and analyse the change of agricultural land on the basis of declaration statistics. The impact of urbanisation was visualised using ArcGIS Pro software. The work includes an assessment of occupational safety aspects and economic calculations. The results of the study are presented with a summary and conclusions. The results of the thesis research were discussed at a scientific conference and a paper was published.

The final bachelor鈥榮 thesis analyzes the accuracy of RTK technology used in an unmanned aerial vehicle for generating orthophoto maps of two areas with differing physical and geographical characteristics. The data collected by the unmanned aerial vehicle was processed using Trimble Business Center software. The accuracy of the orthophoto maps was determined by measuring the coordinate deviations of control points on the maps. Based on scientific articles, the thesis describes the operating principle of an RTK-equipped unmanned aerial vehicle, the stages of orthophoto map generation, and the key factors influencing the accuracy and quality of the resulting models. Economic calculations were performed to determine the total cost of the project. Additionally, safety requirements for working indoors with computer equipment and regulations for unmanned aerial vehicle operation were examined. The work consist of 7 parts: introduction, four chapters, conclusions, references. Scope of work 鈥 51 pages, 27 pictures, 8 tables, 44 bibliographical entries.
