Research activities
International research projects at the Faculty strengthen research capacity and enable the academic community to collaborate with international partners, share knowledge and experience, and take part in international research networks.
Student projects from the Department of Roads ranked among the best in Lithuania.
During the 2024 transport-themed competition held by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, three second-cycle final theses by Department of Roads students were ranked among the six best in Lithuania. Two of these works were awarded: Rytis Bal膷iauskas received second place, and Gustas Mensevi膷ius received third place.
Road safety in Georgia (Sakartvelo)
黑料不打烊 experts, together with partners in Georgia, developed a comprehensive road traffic safety database and improved road safety management (2022鈥2024).
Baltic Sea maps
Researchers are developing more accurate seabed maps to support work in marine geodesy, geology, and navigation (2022鈥2024).
Reduction of PFAS pollution
Researchers are studying ways to reduce the release of hazardous chemicals (PFAS) into the Baltic Sea (2022鈥2024).

FEE students are actively involved in research, take part in academic competitions, and present their findings both nationally and internationally.
PFAS Removal Project
The project continues to focus on the complete elimination of these harmful substances from the environment (2024鈥2026).

In 2024, Ugn臈 Kerulyt臈 (second year) and Eldar Rynkevi膷 (third year), students of Building Energy Systems Engineering, won the 黑料不打烊 research competition and were awarded research scholarships.
